Exploration station

Random Encounters (aka Exploration Ships) are derelict ships and stations that are scattered across an infinite map, likely close to asteroids. They are enabled via the "Random Encounters" checkbox in Advanced world options.

While some of the ships are disabled and harmless, others can be powered, armed, and hostile. Most of these random encounters are built and published by the community. Large ships and stations often hold an abundance of resources and components distributed throughout various containers.

Note that Random Encounters do not include Pirates and Pirate Stations, nor Cargo Ships.
